Space and Rocketry Science Camp

Welcome astronauts to the Space and Rocketry Summer Science Camp. Your mission this summer to help design and build rockets, parachutes and telescopes. Follow these steps for a successful mission.

  • Rocket parts & Rocket Races: begin construction, and explore Newton's Law with a rocket racer.
  • Motor Mount Air Rockets: Investigates how fins stabilize a rocket
  • Rocket Fins & Parachutes: Explore air resistance and experiment with parachutes
  • Recovery System Spud Rocket: Learn about air pressure by testing spud rockets.
  • Launch Day: It's time for lift off.
  • Telescopes: Build a small telescope.
  • Solar System Inner Planets: Construct inner planets
  • Solar System Outer Planets: Construct outer planets
  • Night Cap: Construct a night cap
  • Starry Rainbows: Learn about the spectrum of colors

 Details:

$35 per student. Classes held at Vierra Park Rec Center. Limited space. Register in advance(Deadline to register is March 21, 2008). For ages 5 - 14. March 24th - 28th, 2008. 1-3PM
