WINTER 2006 Girls & Boys HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL SIGN UPS
The Gridley Recreation Department will be accepting high school girls and boys basketball 2006 winter league sign ups on the following dates:
Saturday, October 20th from 3 PM-5 PM
Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 from 9 AM-12 PM at the Recreation Office 196 Washington Street
FEES: Gridley Residents $30.00 for your first child, $25.00 for any additional children.
Non residents: $40.00 for your first child, $35.00 for any additional children.
After November 9th the fee will be $50.00 per child. Absolutely no registration will be accepted after November 16th, when teams have been assigned.
ELIGIBILTY: The league is open to any children in the following age groups.
Grade Level-9(ninth)
Grade Level-10(Tenth)
Grade Level-11(eleventh)
Grade Level-12 (Twelfth)
TEAMS: Teams are put together by random draw. To accommodate the 100plus children, the Gridley Recreation will not honor any requests for certain coaches or children to be place with other children.
UNIFORMS: Each child will receive a jersey. Each child will be required to have plain black shorts. Children can play in any style tennis shoe or high tops, exception: No Black Sole Shoes.
GAMES: Games are Saturday mornings starting December 2nd and ending the middle of February at Manzanita Elementary School Gymnasium.
COACHES: Parents, Friends, and Family members are encouraged to volunteer to coach in the elementary coed basketball league. Several coaches are needed. Experience is not required but helpful. If interested in coaching, please contact the Recreation Department at 846-3264.
REFEREES: Referees are needed for the league. Referees earn $10.00 per game. If interested in refereeing, please contact the Recreation Department at 846-3264.
